Frieda, with an “e”, that’s the name of asteroid 722. It means “the power of peace” in Old German. It snaps and rolls like a nod to the iconic Kahlo. It says it all: brilliance, color, strength, vulnerability, gentle love, intense joy.
Frieda is her own author, composer and producer. Her music is an intimate synthesis of soul, groove, electro and gospel. Her clear voice starts from her guts, from her heart, and soars carried by choirs. The arrangements are modern and epic, as moving as our emotions. The songs grab you, move you, in and out. A smile and she fills the space; her body moves, the audience follows. Every concert is a discussion, a cathartic experience.
Music allows Frieda to explore and express her quest for freedom. Formerly a well-behaved child, she obtained the right grades and jobs with diligence - even managing an early burn-out at the age of 26. Depression, questioning, rebuilding, passion - today she recounts this journey with sincerity and humility.
On stage and on social networks, Frieda makes our daily struggles visible. Her approach hits home and resonates, attracting the interest of media outlets such as Konbini, FIP, Paulette and Tapage.
In autumn 2022, she released the video Work It, a soulful cover of the legendary song by rapper Missy Elliott, in which she transforms herself into Mary, Eve, Cleopatra and the Venus de Milo, embodying this ode to feminine pleasure with humor and sensuality.
In addition to the stage, Frieda is involved in the creation of support systems for female artists (Rappeuses en Liberté, WomenBeats), and passes on her knowledge at conferences and workshops for schools, professionals and associations.
Frieda was a laureate of the Women Metronum Academy in 2020 (sponsored by Sônge and Flavia Coelho) and of Variations in 2021 (a program created by the City of Paris and which revealed Eddy de Pretto).
