Frieda, with an “e”, that’s the name of asteroid 722. It means “the power of peace” in Old German. It snaps and rolls like a nod to the iconic Kahlo. It says it all: brilliance, color, strength, vulnerability, gentle love, intense joy.
Frieda, with an ‘e’, is the name of asteroid 722, and that of the future star, bursting into our solar system with unclassifiable pop that borrows as much from gospel and groove as from electronic music made in the UK, over which she lays her lyrics of disconcerting sincerity. Perfectionism, self-destruction, rupture, healing, Frieda reminds us of Stromae in his ability to strip away our facades to the comma, and to fight against all kinds of discrimination through his art... but also of Missy Eliott, in her versatility.
Frieda is an artist in a class of her own, and one with whom the public can identify. A very strong community follows her on the networks and invites her to perform across France at events such as Le Cabaret Poussière, Club Canutes, Hébe Festival...
Even before releasing her first single on the platforms, she had already caught the ears and hearts of professionals: Winner of the Women Beats and Metronum Women Academy talent-spotting schemes, winner of the Give me five scheme and a finalist for the Chorus prize, she's been booked to perform at major events including MaMA 2022, Afropunk, Chauffer Dans La Noirceur, FIMU, Les Petites Folies Iroise, and as support act for Sandra Nkaké at the Café de la Danse and Les Coquettes at the Olympia. ..
These performances have enabled her to win over a varied audience, and to prepare for the arrival of her 1st project, ‘Derrière le Soleil’, due in early 2025, which will be preceded by several singles (24/10 for the next one). Stay tuned!
